The Role
As a GenAI & Automation Engineer at Calab.ai, you’ll be at the cutting edge of a technological
revolution. You will take ownership of designing, developing, and deploying breakthrough AI-
powered automation solutions that enable some of the world’s most complex businesses to achieve unmatched efficiency and scalability. You will collaborate with a diverse team of innovators who push the boundaries of technology every day, making real-world impact with every solution you deliver.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead Innovation: Design, develop, and maintain advanced Generative AI and automation systems that revolutionise operational efficiency for enterprise clients.
- Accelerate Development: Build highly reusable, modular libraries and frameworks to speed up solution deployment, cutting development time and delivering value faster.
- Define Best Practices: Establish standards that drive technical excellence across multiple client engagements.
- Solution Ownership: Produce clear, comprehensive solution design documents that bring client projects to life.
- Iterate Fast: Troubleshoot, debug, and refine intelligent solutions, solving real-world challenges at scale.
- Stay Ahead: Continuously update your knowledge on the latest GenAI developments and integrate new innovations into client solutions.
What You’ll Bring:
- Expertise in Python and Microsoft Azure: Strong proficiency in the Azure ecosystem, including Azure AI Services like Form Recognizer, and Custom Vision, with experience in building and deploying scalable solutions within Azure environments.
- Tool Mastery: Hands-on experience with modern tools like GitHub and Azure DevOps, ensuring seamless collaboration and deployment.
- Agile Mindset: Work in Agile frameworks, designing and delivering solutions based on real client needs through user stories, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Problem-Solver: Tailor Generative AI frameworks for specific use cases, implementing advanced techniques like RAG and Vector Search to solve client challenges.
- Academic or Real-World Experience: Master’s in engineering, Computer Science, or proven technical foundation.
- Communication Skills: Bring clarity and confidence when communicating with clients, ensuring complex solutions are easy to understand and adopt.
- Growth Mindset: Relentlessly curious, constantly pushing to learn, improve, and evolve.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Integration Experience: Hands-on with Azure Integration Services (Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps) or other frameworks (Python Flask, Node.js).
- Data Skills: Familiarity with Azure Data Services (Synapse, Data Factory, Azure Databricks) or other machine learning tools.
- Consulting Mindset: Experience working alongside top-tier strategy firms to deliver high-value, timely results.
- Containerisation Mastery: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
- Front-End Development: Experience building front-end solutions using React or similar technologies.
